Die neu gegründete Association of Gaming Professionals (AGP) hat jetzt ihre erste offizielle Tour angekündigt, die ihr Hauptaugenmerk auf Shooter im 1on1 Modus legt.

Das Besondere an dieser neu gegründeten Liga wird allerdings erst deutlich, wenn man sich die ausgewählten Spiele genauer anschaut:

- Quake4
- Quake 3 or QuakeLive
- Unreal Tournament 3
- Warsow

Eine Tour besteht dabei aus jeweils vier internationalen Events, die sich AGB-Majors nennen. Auf jedem dieser Events wird ein anderes Spiel gespielt, was die ganze Liga deutlich interessanter gestalten dürfte und viel Abwechslung verspricht.
Künftig wird die Fancommunity dazu befähigt sein, neue Titel für die Majors zu wählen und alte Titel heraus zu wählen. Damit soll eine fortlaufende Weiterentwicklung des Unternehmens garantiert werden, was auf neue interessante eSports-Disziplinen hoffen lässt.

Die AGP äußerte sich wie folgt:

The AGP Tour will be presenting First Person Shooter (FPS) 1v1 action in ways never before seen. The prime focus of each production will be on the professional player and the action of the game in a made for TV environment, with the ability to stream each match online via the official site. Each match will have full in game statistics available to the viewer, player interviews, live commentating, and ??many surprises?, says Jarod Reisin, President and founder of the AGP Tour?.
